Some common questions we are asked:

Q: Why can't we reach into the pens and pet the puppies?

A: Because people and puppies carry germs. When people go from puppy to puppy without sanitizing then germs are spread. Also, some people go to other kennels first and could spread germs from other stores as well.

Puppies also scratch and nip. It is not wise to place a small child down with a puppy as he is sure to jump, nip, or scratch. The same goes for reaching into the pens. Your sleeve makes for a wonderful chew toy!

Q: Why can't we hold the puppies or play with them?

A: You are always welcome to visit with a puppy if you are interested in making a purchase. We want to limit the stress placed on our pups as much as possible. Puppies wiggle alot and can easily be dropped by children and adults.  

Q: Why are you only open Fri-Sun and the rest by appt?

A: Because those seriously considering a purchase will make an appt at a convenient time for them. Others who just want to look can take advantage of the Walk-in Kennel Hours.

Most puppies are about 8-10 weeks old when coming into the store. It is a big move for them and they have not developed a full immunity system. It is in their best interest to be in a calm, relaxing, healthy enviornment while waiting for their new family to arrive.

Q. Why buy a neutered pup?

A: Not only are you assuring your pup will not pregnate a female dog, it can also deter the urge to be aggressive, lift his leg, or wander. You are also saving anywhere from $200- $400 since you will not have to pay to have your vet neuter him.
